So, I made a thing. I’ve wanted a standing desk So, I made a thing. I’ve wanted a standing desk for a while now. I used to have one at work but at home I need one so that I’m not sitting so much. We had a ton of scrap wood in our basement and I decided to mill it into usable boards so that I could make a desktop. It took me a while but I got it completed. I learned some things and figured out some workarounds when you don’t have every single tool that you would need to do this more easily. But it was fun and I’m pretty proud of it and now I have this awesome desk. #maker #woodworking #lgbtq #reclaimed #reclaimedwood #reclaimedwoodfurniture

Me and the parents went to an early breakfast and Me and the parents went to an early breakfast and then went to Palo Duro Canyon. Haven’t been there in many many years. Still just as beautiful. Got to see some of the old outdoor theater where they perform the show Texas every year. Spent more time just looking at landscapes and getting outside. Then we went and had a great barbecue lunch, and on the way there passed one of the classic Toot n Totem convenient stores which we affectionately called fart and fetch ‘em growing up back in the day.

So, yesterday was my birthday. Michael surprised m So, yesterday was my birthday. Michael surprised me with a day trip to New York City and a Broadway Musical. We had SO much fun! We saw an amazing show called, "A Strange Loop” and it was one of the best theatrical experiences I’ve ever had. It was so beautiful, thought provoking, raw and relatable.  I CANNOT recommend it enough. Outside of the show, we spent the day visiting some of the popular spots in NYC. Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Station, Times Square, Broadway and more. It was really a magical, blast of a day. We are both exhausted today, but it was SO worth it! Thanks everyone for all my birthday wishes. It’s always appreciated!! Much love to all of you!!

Goodbye Cossette. As many of you know we discovere Goodbye Cossette. As many of you know we discovered that Cossette had bone cancer in mid May. After a leg amputation and chemo, the cancer returned with a vengeance. We spent the last few months babying her and visiting the vet a LOT. On Wednesday July 27, 2022 we took her in for her final visit. The pain had just become too much. She was such an amazingly loving and gentle greyhound. You’ll hear that they aren’t affectionate but this girl loved to snuggle and would frequently take up our entire bed. But we loved it. We adored her and are devastated with the loss of our beautiful girl. The staff at @chippenshillvet and @pieperveterinary were beyond amazing. We can’t thank them enough for their care and kindness. Please hug your animals tonight. Twelve Oaks is doing ok but missing her sister. We are just living her as much as possible while we all get through this. ❤️🏳️‍🌈❤️🏳️‍🌈❤️ #greyhound #greyhoundsofinstagram #fuckcancer #greyhounds

So, for the last month we’ve been dealing with s So, for the last month we’ve been dealing with some serious issues related to Cossette. In early May we thought Cossette had injured her leg by slipping on the stairs. After multiple visits, X-rays & finally an excellent surgeon we found out that she had bone cancer in her right rear knee. Her leg had become unusable and we made the difficult but necessary decision to amputate. She had the surgery last Tuesday and is doing fantastic. We have a while to full recovery but all tests (as of now) have come back negative. We took her for a baby walk today in the front yard. She’s doing so well and so much better than before the surgery. More updates to come. ❤️🏳️‍🌈❤️🏳️‍🌈❤️
